Music

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother’s keeper and the finder of lost children.

Volume One

Listen on Bandcamp

  1. Booty Call (after the club remix) by Sex Pümp
  2. Hold On Be Strong by Wizards of Atlantis feat. HR of Bad Brains
  3. Squelch by Snow Black
  4. Manimal (evil dirty drag remix) by Choreboy feat. Gibby Haynes of the Butthole Surfers

This space was created from the boundless love of two parents, Jacy Planta and Phil Owen, who lost their son, Cash Owen, to fentanyl poisoning. Out of that heartbreak grew a vision: a living memorial to honor the lives lost too soon to substance use and overdose.

Beyond remembrance, this platform is also a movement. Through open storytelling, shared grief, and radical love, we work to reduce stigma and normalize conversations around overdose, substance use, and harm reduction.
Every month, we release a collection of songs donated by generous artists on Bandcamp. These works are offered through our philosophy of “Honor Ware”—a simple invitation: in exchange for music, take one meaningful action in the name of overdose awareness.

One candle, one story, one voice at a time—we build light in the darkness.

We’re honored to share the third release of the One is Too Many music series — Volume Three, available now on Bandcamp.

Featuring powerful contributions from The Jolly Garogers, Tojo Yamamoto, The Vulture Thread, and Antiporter, this collection continues our mission to raise awareness about the ongoing tragedy of overdose deaths and to celebrate the lives and stories of those we’ve lost.

At the heart of One is Too Many is a simple truth: even one life lost is too many. Through art, music, and remembrance, we aim to spark connection, compassion, and action within our communities.

Each volume is released under our philosophy of “Honor Ware” — instead of paying with money, we invite you to take one meaningful action in the name of overdose awareness. That could be sharing resources, checking in on someone, learning about harm reduction, or supporting recovery in your community.

Together, through music and mindfulness, we can honor those we’ve lost and protect those still with us.
